Aylin Garip Kübler begann ihre Facharztausbildung an der Augenklinik der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Im Jahr 2012 schloss sie diese als Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) ab.
Anschließend arbeitete sie als Funktionsoberärztin mit Schwerpunkt auf okuloplastischer und rekonstruktiver Chirurgie an der Augenklinik der LMU unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. med. Christoph Hintschich.
2018 erhielt sie die Vollmitgliedschaft der Europäischen Gesellschaft für okuloplastische und rekonstruktive Chirurgie (ESOPRS). Seit September 2021 ist sie Fachärztin im MVZ Prof. Neuhann.
Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Verbesserung der Diagnose- und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten bei Sehnervkompression bei Patienten mit endokrinen Orbitopathie. Im Jahr 2023 habilitierte sie sich zum Thema Endokrine Orbitopathie.
Christoph Hintschich MD, FEBO, full professor of ophthalmology, is heading the Oculoplastic and Orbital Services at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, focused on patient care, teaching and research. He graduated in Ophthalmology at the LMU Munich, before he specialized in Eyelid and Orbital Surgery.
He was fellow to Charles Beyer-Machule/ Munich, J. Richard O. Collin/ London and Leo Koornneef/ Amsterdam. In 1993 he became full member of ESOPRS, from 2006 – 2014 he was ESOPRS secretary.
He is Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), and member of EUGOGO and the Orbital Society.
For more than two decades he is running a multidisciplinary orbital clinic and a combined Graves´ clinic. He is organizing the Munich Beyer-Machule course on eyelid surgery and the Munich Orbital Symposium, both on a biennial cycle.
Christoph Hintschich has been an invited lecturer and guest surgeon in many countries and had numerous international fellows. His main professional interests are functional and aesthetic eyelid surgery and orbital surgery, in particular ptosis surgery, surgical rehabilitation in Graves´ disease and anophthalmic socket management.
Prof. Dr. Elisabeth M. Messmer hat das Medizinstudium an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, München, 1990 abgeschlossen. Anschließend war sie im Rahmen eines DFG-Stipendiums Research Fellow an der Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Boston. Ihre Ausbildung zur Fachärztin für Augenheilkunde absolvierte sie von 1993-1997 an den Augenkliniken Würzburg und LMU München.
Seit Juni 1997 ist sie Oberärztin an der Augenklinik der LMU München. Seit Januar 2014 ist sie appl. Professorin. Sie ist klinisch und chirurgisch tätig im Bereich Hornhaut, Augenoberfläche und entzündliche Erkrankungen des vorderen Augenabschnitts. Zusätzlich ist sie Leiterin der Abteilung „Ophthalmopathologie“ an der LMU Augenklinik München. Sie ist Reviewerin für viele deutschsprachige und internationale Journale, Verfasserin von über 100 Originalarbeiten und Herausgeberin von mehreren Büchern.
Ullrich G. Mueller-Lisse was born in Leverkusen, Germany. He studied biology at Ripon College, Ripon, WI, USA, medicine at the universities of Bonn, Germany, Bristol, England, UK, and California-San Francisco, USA, outcomes research and clinical epidemiology at the University of California-San Francisco, USA, and health care management at the University of Applied Sciences, Deggendorf, Germany. He pursued residency training in urology, radiology, and neuroradiology at the University of Munich Hospitals, Germany, and worked as a clinical instructor and research fellow in radiology at the University of California-San Francisco, USA.
Besides his M.D. degree, full medical license and board license in radiology, Ullrich G. Mueller-Lisse holds a B.A.-degree in biology, and an M.B.A.-degree for health care management. He has been attending radiologist since 2002, attending PET-CT radiologist since 2012, and Professor of Radiology at the University of Munich Hospitals, Germany, since 2010.
Ullrich G. Mueller-Lisse has served as an editorial board member of “European Radiology”, and as a reviewer for different national and international medical journals. He is an active member of different national and international medical societies, including the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the German Roentgen Society, and the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR). His research interests include MRI, CT, PET-CT, and new imaging systems in urogenital imaging, chest-and-lung imaging / occupational medicine, and head-and-neck imaging.

Ulrich Schaudig went to Medical School at the Faculties of medicine of the Universities of Regensburg and Munich and spent part of his final year at the Medical Schools of the University of Colorado at Denver and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He started his postgraduate training in general and plastic surgery in Munich before he turned his interest to ophthalmology and entered the residency program at the University Hospital in Hamburg Eppendorf.
After his board certification in 1997, he continued his career with special interests in both oculoplastic and vitreoretinal surgery and completing his scientific work with a PH.D. thesis on retinal imaging. He also served as head of the ophthalmopathological laboratory.
He has published numerous articles in peer – referenced ophthalmological German and international journals.
Since 2007, he is chief of the department of Ophthalmology at the Asklepios Klinik Barmbek, a department of general ophthalmology, where he continues to develop his special interest in oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Schaudig is currently serving as a head of the section of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery of the German ophthalmological society (DOG), and committee member of ESOPRS. He is also the secretary of the North German society of ophthalmology and representing ophthalmology in the multi-disciplinary German Society of Aesthetic Surgery.
Anna Schuh, MD, FEBO, is a consultant and surgeon for oculoplastic, orbital, and lacrimal surgery at the Eye Hospital of Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. Besides patient care, she is actively involved in teaching and research.
After she graduated in ophthalmology, she completed her oculoplastic training at LMU Munich (Prof. C. Hintschich) and further developed her expertise in lacrimal surgery at the Eye Hospital Darmstadt (Prof. K.-H. Emmerich).
She is a full member of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS), the European Group on Graves’ Orbitopathy (EUGOGO), and the Section for Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the German Ophthalmological Society (SORC DOG).

Trained in ophthalmology in UK, Mr Verity undertook Fellowships in oculoplastics before his appointment as Consultant to Moorfields Eye Hospital in 2004. In 2009, he was elected to the Orbital Society, and between 2011 and 2018 was Editor-in Chief of the journal ORBIT. His publications number over 110, and he is an active national and international teacher and surgical trainer.
From 2019 – 2023 he was President of BOPSS, is the immediate past Treasurer of ESOPRS, and is co-Editor of the Society’s comprehensive 1300 page two-volume textbook, published in 2024.
Mr Verity has contributed to the humanitarian work of the St John Eye Hospital Group since 1985. In 2009 he published a genetics doctorate on Behçet’s disease in Palestinian patients and in 2000 was awarded the Iris Fund Millennial Award. In 2016 he became a Trustee of the Hospital Group and is currently Chair of clinical governance. He founded the St John Ophthalmic Association to unify healthcare experts in the Order and in 2018 was appointed Hospitaller of the Order.
